5. To promote interest in Australian History and the preservation of Australia's Heritage.

6. To foster Australian Arts, Music and Literature

If you read these Objectives from the top down you will see our "work agenda".  If you read them from the bottom up you will see the celebration of all things Australian that we originally had in mind when the Eureka Council was first conceived.

In our role as an Cultural social club for Anzac Nation we are studying our history, enjoying our poetry and encouraging our up and coming writers. Whether it is our fashion, our cuisine or any other part of our Native Australian Culture and lifestyle, we want to celebrate it.

Unfortunately the current Focus of the Eureka Council's membership is also largely determined by the times we are living in.  The Food and Population Wars (Pentagon, June 2004) the multi-choice crises of the War on Terrorism, the Global Population Explosion, Religious Warfare, Resource Depletion and Global Warming are clearly going to dominate world and Australian news over the next fifteen years.

We at the Eureka Council believe that all of these problems and challenges can be successfully met and that a "soft landing" is possible, at least for Australia.

To achieve this we believe it is essential that the nation unite and then to focus all of its energy and resources to the task of making whatever changes that may be necessary to see it through.

We do not necessarily believe that this will be a pleasant or a comfortable process; but we do believe that the world has entered into a cycle of tragedy that cannot be turned back and that here in Australia we must either surf the tsunami or be washed away.

This is no more important issue.  There is no more important work.
